Sony KDL40V3000 Review
June 19, 2008
The Sony KDL40V3000 is a good looking television and its spectacular piano black finish reflects the slick technology beneath. The Bravia V-Series LCD TVs are HD 1080p, which means the resolution is incredible. If you’re into sport or an avid game-player, this is the perfect TV for you.
The Bravia Engine makes the most of any signal and the viewing experience is enhanced by SForce Surround Sound, which provides the nearest effect to surround sound without a 5.1 speaker Set-up. The 24p True Cinema mode is ideal for movies (film is shot at 24 frames per second but UK TVs work at 25 frames per second) as it ensures that they play at the correct speed. In addition to this, with the Theatre Sync function you have a one-touch command over your Home theatre set up, which is useful for achieving the optimal movie viewing situation.
It also has an integrated Digital Freeview Tuner so no need for a separate Freeview box and with 3 HDMI sockets (2 to the rear of the set and 1 on the side) if there are a number of appliances you want to hook up to your set, this is easily done.

Sony KDL 23B4050 Review
June 9, 2008
This small TV stands out for its unusual but highly modern design. On first glance it stands apart from its many glossy black counterparts, if only for its mocha finish which gives it a warmer look. It also has a fairly wide, two tiered bevel that gives it a solid feel, which on a smaller TV like this works well. [Read more]
Sony KDL20S3020 Review
May 6, 2008
This lovely little TV is the baby of the Sony Bravia range, perfect if you are looking for something smaller in your kitchen or bedroom.
It is beautifully put together with a
silver metallic finish and a 1366 x 768 widescreen. It was also very easy to set up with its inbuilt digital freeview that was up and running with a minimum of fuss.
It is hard to beat the Bravia engine which creates such warm colours and crisp image clarity. There is very little colour bleed and it deals really well with action which makes it great for watching sports.
The sound from the Sony KDL20S3020 is pretty decent from such a small set, although you may notice the lack of deep bass. Having said that, in a TV of this size, the sound is about as good as you will get and it has a ‘dynamic’ setting that really improves it.
For such a small TV it also has quite a number of connections, which is great, including 1 HDMI, 2 Scart and 1 component connection so it can generally be hooked up to whichever whiz bang console or DVD player you might want.

This is a whopping telly for those with a whopping budget. This is the granddaddy of the Sony Bravia series and it comes in a massive 40” widescreen. You can get bigger than that, but you would need a room the size of a supermarket to really want it too much larger.
