Sharp LC26AD5E Review

The Sharp LC26AD5E model flatters to deceive in terms of what it has to offer the viewer. As part of the 26 inch range, it has the usefulness of a main TV or that of a TV for a smaller room. Despite the flexibility, the model does not skimp on the quality features it contains. Firstly it is designed well with sleek curving lines and an elegant black surround. As a mid-range model it is also not as bulky as some models. At just over 24cm in depth it fits easily into most sizes of room and if required a wall mounted bracket can be fitted to provide even more space saving.

As well as being a widescreen version, this model also comes complete with Nicam stereo and virtual Dolby surround sound, and produces audio to complement the quality images that are brought to the screen. The model is HD ready and can be easily connected to satellite TV through one of it’s two scart leads, whilst also being connected to games consoles or a PC if required.

This model has a fast response time of 6ms which enables clear sharp images to be viewed without blurring occurring to objects on the screen. Especially useful as the product comes with built in freeview and access to a wide variety of channels immediately. A full 176 degree viewing angle is achieved on this model, which comes complete with a stand included in the package.

Setting up the product is very easy and should be achievable without much need to resort to the instructions manual. An infra red remote control is included in the package and allows the user to access a wide variety of functions at their fingertips with relative ease.

Overall the product is well designed and is packed with the most up-to-date technology. It combines quality images and audio with the flexibility to be used in most areas of the home with little fuss. Having built in freeview is a major bonus for those who do not have satellite.
