Sony KDL 23B4050 This small TV stands out for its unusual but highly modern design. On first glance it stands apart from its many glossy black counterparts, if only for its mocha finish which gives it a warmer look. It also has a fairly wide, two tiered bevel that gives it a solid feel, which on a smaller TV like this works well.

It is portable, with a grip at that back that makes it very easy to lift from kitchen to bedroom and 23” is a nice size for a second TV.

This is a wide screen LCD HD ready TV, and while small it still uses the Bravia engine, so the technology is still top notch. With a 1366 x 768 resolution the image clarity is great and displays at 720 with progressive scanning. As you can expect from the Bravia series it deals very well with motion and gives good colour enhancement and contrasts.

It comes with a single HDMI socket, which is about right for a TV of this size, as well as 2 Scart, and single composite, component and S video connections. With inbuilt digital freeview it is a tidy little TV with all the right inputs.
