Sony KDL-32P3020 Review

Sony KDL-32P3020 ReviewFor those ogling the Bravia range but shaking their wallets in dismay, the Sony KDL-32P3020 is the not too pocket shrinking alternative for people on a budget.

It has a more than decent sized 32” LCD screen equipped with the standard Bravia image processing engine. This is reason enough to look closely at this slightly cheaper option as this engine is reputably excellent, creating a bold, crisp image.

What you lose out against the high end options of the more expensive models is that this TV does not offer full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 but the slightly lesser quality 1366 x 768. However in reality the visible difference between these resolutions at 32” is negligible. You would need to move into the 40” to 46” ranges to notice the difference.

The backlight is the more advanced WCG-CCFL technology which gives a huge increase in depth and quality over the traditional fluorescent backlights, and provides rich reds and greens.

Connections with this screen are 2 of the HD quality HDMI inputs, as well as 2 scart, and one each of the composite, component and S video connections. Again, they’ve saved money on the connections by having one less HDMI input than the next tier of televisions (the Sony KDL-32S3000), but really unless you are want the full glory with the price tag that goes with it, most people will not really feel this lack. Plus it comes with digital freeview inbuilt, so that’s one less connection to worry about.
