Sony KDL26S3000 Review
The Sony Bravia engine has plenty to boast about and when placed in this medium sized telly it makes for a rather spectacular picture.
The widescreen LCD market has been really pushed into the limelight as the number one choice for HD ready TV’s by the Sony Bravia series and with good reason.
With a 10-bit colour range, the depth and quality of the picture is great and the Bravia engine smooths motion so there is a reduction on colour bleed and blur on fast moving objects. It deals particularly well with contrasts and you will see that the blacks are a nice inky black, rather than greyed out.
The Sony KDL26S3000 has a 1366 x 768 resolution that is if not the best then certainly more than adequate on a 26” TV. With a 16:9 ratio, even at this tidy size you will get the movie theatre feeling.
It comes with a digital tuner and built in freeview which add to the sleek presence of this TV since you won’t have a set top box cluttering up the space. It has the full range of connections: A generous 2 HDMI, as well as 2 scart, then single composite, component and S-video connections so you can hook up everything under the sun.
