Sony KDL40W2000 - 40″ Widescreen Bravia Full HD Ready 1080P LCD TV - With FreeviewThe Sony KDL40W2000 widescreen LCD TV is fast becoming known as the King of the flat screen TV’s. With a depth of 22.6cm the model proves a great addition to any lounge without being obstructive. The model comes with a table stand as standard although an optional wall bracket is also available. Sony has a reputation for being innovative and this model certainly fits into the bracket. In essence the model is primarily geared towards using the latest technology to produce an extremely high quality of picture and audio.
At the heart of the technology is Sony’s new “live colour creation” technology which together with their BRAVIA Engine Video Processor provides images which are crisp and full of vivid colour.
The built in digital filter comb ensures that the information received is transmitted to the screen with great clarity and detail. Whilst the Motion Adaptive IP Converter ensures that blurring during action movies or fast moving scenes is reduced to a minimum.
To further enhance the viewing pleasure this model comes with a response time of 8ms which also helps to eliminate any dragging images. The standard 4:3 display has been improved to offer the option of an enhanced 16:9 display which cannot fail to increase the enjoyment of watching movies.
The system allows for various other media sources as well as games consoles to be connected via Scart sockets or input connectors. The model also features a pc input connector for use as a monitor. This is especially useful when using the pc as a gaming experience.
This model most definitely is targeted at the top end of the range where quality and reliability are paramount and reflected in the price. However after closer inspection of the vast amount of features this model contains, it would actually be fair to assume that most buyers would believe it to cost a fair amount more, especially as it also comes with freeview as part of the overall package!
